Starbucks barista loses it over unicorn frappuccino mania
– Starbucks officially announced the release of its Unicorn Frappuccino this week, and guys, the drink is attractive.
The most hard: The S’mores Frappuccino, she said. “My hands are sticky”. Burson suddenly yells. “I have unicorn crap all in my hair and in my nose!” It has been insane.
Baristas have also been speaking out on Twitter, with some saying they are glad their store has sold out or pleading with customers not to order the birthday cake-flavored concoction. Majority had to stay late and others just complained about how hard they are to make back to back. “And people were coming in, left and right, drive thru and in the front!” According to the coffee giant, they’ll stop churning out the Unicorn Frappuccino on April 23.
Yuliana Soltero, 30, normally orders a plain iced coffee but chose to try the Unicorn Frappuccino on Thursday, because she saw the drink all over social media. Burson has since removed the video from Twitter.
Burson isn’t the only Starbucks employee stressed out over the limited edition drink.
Before I rip Starbucks a new one for this health-hazard publicity stunt that tastes like the inside of a piñata, let’s talk about me for a minute. “But it is hard to make when there are like 20 fraps all at once both front and drive thru”. Starbucks baristas took to Reddit and began posting pictures of the pink and blue powders, and the rumor mill began turning. I must admit I don’t really get it.
I believe I’ve hit my quota for Unicorn Frappuccinos in my lifetime, without even finishing one. I’ll definitely give all the hardworking baristas props for that.
I totally feel your pain – I was a barista when the strawberry and cream trap. After a few sips, I was ready to call it a day.
