Daily On-Camera Press Briefings Might End for Spicer
Last week, Trump told Fox News Channel’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine” that he was prepared to cancel the White House’s daily press briefings unless he did them himself, and only if they occurred “every two weeks”.
“Kimberly is a valued member of the FOX News primetime lineup, and is under a long term contract with the network”, the network said in a statement.
As with any plan that the White House has not yet executed, and with a high stakes foreign trip still to come, the sources cautioned that the plans are not finalized, but a demotion of the controversial press secretary would only further fan reports of discord within the administration.
It’s the latest in a series of rumors and rumblings about Spicer that started nearly since Day 1 of Trump’s administration.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Yeah, he is, sure.
TRUMP: Well, he’s doing a good job, but he gets beat up. “I’m not sure he knows the answer to that yet”. I’m saying if they’re off just a little bit, just a little bit, it’s the big story.
PIRRO: When will you make a decision as to whether or not you’re gonna keep having him? He is famously portrayed on “Saturday Night Live” by Melissa McCarthy and Spicer’s daily briefings have become must-see TV for political junkies.
Guilfoyle didn’t bat an eyelash at the prospect of jumping into that cauldron.
Guilfoyle told the Mercury News, “I’m a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country”.
“I think it’d be a fascinating job, it’s a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position”, Guilfoyle said Monday. She Wednesday for four years to past San Francisco mayor and present Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom.
US President Donald Trump has faced scandal after scandal both before and after he took office. Last week, Trump threatened to cancel all future press briefings “for the sake of accuracy” in an early morning tweet.
Then she offered the famously prickly Spicer what appeared to be a backhanded stab disguised as advice. He did not mention Mr. Trump’s disclosure of intelligence to Russian leaders, but referred to the government officials who acted as sources for The Washington Post’s scoop. And otherwise you’re driving blind’. “It has to be somebody with a very close relationship, where there’s trust there, there’s inherent loyalty, someone who’s been there from the beginning”.
