I won’t make mistakes at Manchester United next season – Mourinho
After watching Manchester United’s under-23s beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 at Old Trafford last Monday, José Mourinho is set to play a number of youngsters in his side’s final Premier League game of the season, a meaningless home tie against Crystal Palace.
Mourinho’s side can no longer finish in the Premier League top four, while Palace have avoided relegation and the United boss believes their fixture should be brought forward.
United are guaranteed sixth place, while Palace are safe from relegation.
“In any country in the world, it would be Saturday”. (But) it’s going to be Sunday.
“It is frustrating for me and I hope you don’t kill me when you see my team”.
Bosz went on to say that he doesn’t care about Mourinho’s record in finals and their 100% win rate against Ajax, “I never look at coaches from other teams”. I don’t lose time. So I think it’s just a lost battle [asking to move the game].
“You (journalists) are English, you are here since you were born”. I am here seven years.
After beginning the campaign on loan at Portuguese club Belenenses, the 20-year-old made his United debut as a late substitute in the FA Cup win against Wigan after being recalled in January.
“So I think it’s just a lost battle”.
Mourinho will field a weakened team against Palace and has said third-choice goalkeeper Joel Pereira will start. You only know them when you have them in good moments and bad moments. “They went 25 games unbeaten and I feel the players are giving everything for their manager”.
“One is Argentina national-team goalkeeper and one is Spanish national-team goalkeeper, two of the best countries in the world”, Mourinho said. Marouane Fellaini is a question mark.
It has robbed the 35-year-old Swede of a possible United swansong and the chance to write the flawless script in his homeland when United face his old club Ajax in Stockholm, though Mourinho has revealed Ibrahimovic will travel to Sweden to be at Wednesday’s game anyway.
Southampton manager Claude Puel refused to discuss his future at the club, which is the subject of speculation.
Mourinho added: “I am not focused on the final, at this moment I am focused on the Sunday match”.
