Over dozen injured in Charsadda hand grenade attacks
At least 13 people including 7 seven children were injured when five hand grenade blasts hit Shabqadar, a district of Charsadda Saturday morning.
The series of hand grenade attacks occurred in Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and bordering Mohmand agency, police said.
Sources privy to security told that the first blast was carried out outside a school in Zareef Kor whereas hand grenades were also hurled on houses in Mosul and Mir Kulli.
The injured include a student, a security guard, six children and five women.
The injured have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shabqadar and Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
In another attack, as many as three houses were targeted in cracker blasts in Miro.
Police cordoned off the attacked areas and kicked off investigations.
Khan added that no group claimed responsibility for the attacks, which caused panic among residents.
