UK’s Liberal Democrats promise new Brexit vote if elected

THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS are promising another Brexit vote and the legalisation of cannabis as part of their election manifesto.

A rent-to-own scheme would see monthly property rents used like a mortgage to allow tenants to buy their homes over a 30-year period.

“British universities are world leaders that attract some of the most talented individuals from India to the benefit of the United Kingdom economy”.

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland must also have their priorities and long-term interests “fully taken into account” during Brexit negotiations, the party notes.

The party’s commitment is confined to worldwide students in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) who find suitable employment within six months of graduating, and is aimed at meeting a chronic shortage of workers in the four subjects.

The Liberal Democrat leader said he is “pro-choice now and I was pro-choice then” when asked about an interview with a Salvation Army publication in 2007 in which he reportedly condemned the method of terminating a pregnancy.

“You should have your say on the Brexit deal in a referendum”, Farron said. Though Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has in the past been a strong supporter of anti-caste discrimination legislation, it was not included in the party’s manifesto.

The Lib Dem unveiled their plan ahead of the June 8 general election.

With more than 11,000 families on the waiting list for council homes in Hackney, the Lib Dems aim to create affordable and convenient housing for the borough.

Tim Farron’s party would keep the United Kingdom in the single market and customs union.

The manifesto says that subsidies must rebalance away from direct subsidy and refocus support towards the public goods that come from effective land management including countryside protection, flood prevention, food production, and climate change mitigation.

The extra cash will be raised by increasing income tax by 1%, while the Lib Dems also plan to reverse the Conservatives’ cuts to corporation tax. At 16 people are subject to all the laws of the land, pay taxes, can become a company director, get married, join the army and in many regards act as full members of society.

Give almost £7 billion extra for schools and colleges including protecting per-pupil funding in real terms.

Former Lib Dem resource minster Dan Rogerson is attempting to regain the North Cornwall constituency after losing his seat to the Conservatives in the 2015 General Election. “We will ensure no net increase in runways across the UK”.

“Every year, billions flow to organised crime while we needlessly prosecute and imprison thousands of people, blighting their employment and life chances, and doing nothing to address the impact of drugs on their health”.
