UVa opens play Thursday in the ACC baseball tournament
UofL plays Notre Dame on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Florida State the next day at 3 p.m. Louisville was among the hottest teams in the country until last week when in snapped its 15-game winning streak before the Cards came home and lost two straight to Florida State. UVa then finishes pool play at 11 a.m. Friday against fifth-seeded Clemson (39-17, 17-13). All games will also be available on WatchESPN (subject to blackout). Tyler Holton picked up the win for Florida State by yielding just a run on five hits while walking three and striking out 11 in eight innings.
Game times for pool play, which begins Tuesday, will be announced on Sunday. The final three-team pool consists of No. 1 Louisville, No. 8 Florida State and No. 12 Notre Dame.

The Irish and Cardinals are 2-2 all-time in postseason play, with all four meetings having come at the BIG EAST Championship.
The championship is a pool format featuring four, three team pools. Florida State hit a combined 7-34 (.206) at the plate. That club went on to an NCAA regional.
