Lil Yachty – Teenage Emotions review: ‘The best and worst of teenage emotions’

After month of teasing his debut studio album, Lil Yachty has finally released Teenage Emotions. The album includes 21 tracks and features collaborations with Migos, Diplo, and YG.

But the highly-anticipated project also features plenty of, well, Teenage Emotions. Speaking with us for the Spring Edition of XXL Magazine, Lil Boat said he wasn’t wasting any opportunities.

And although he’s pretty excited to share the project, it wasn’t as pleasurable to complete it. “There was so much pressure in the beginning“, he said in an interview via Beats 1.

“Well, like I said, in this game, I haven’t been here that long and I was extremely poor, you know what I’m saying?” When I made Lil Boat, my first mixtape, I didn’t have a drop date, a due date. “I didn’t have critics rating on it, I was just making it”. “I didn’t make this shit for anybody else. Someone will love you, but if they feel like they know you or they can relate to you, it’s a real genuine, solid love, even when you’re down”. “My only goal [now] is to impress my fans”. The album is now available to stream on Apple Music, or you can purchase it on iTunes. According to Lil Boat, the album caters to teenagers of all types.
