Microsoft Build 2017 Day 2 highlights
Microsoft also discussed virtual reality – what it calls “mixed reality” – and unveiled handheld motion controllers for the range of VR headsets the firm works with, alongside its own HoloLens headset.

The same report mentions that Microsoft has explained how Cortana would be able to actually leverage this feature. Aptly called the Fall Creator’s Update, there are quite a few features expected to hit the operating system.

Other features of the update include Story Mix, which is created to make video editing easier. It lets you add soundtracks, annotations, transitions, special effects, and even allow users to add 3D objects to your photos and videos to view in mixed reality. The iTunes app will have full iPhone support and users will essentially get the same iTunes experience from the Windows Store app that the existing Windows app now offers.
