Confirmed: Man Utd & Chelsea Target Joins AC Milan

Ivory Coast worldwide Frank Kessie has completed his transfer to AC Milan from Atalanta on a two-season loan with obligation to buy, it was announced on Friday.

Chelsea and Liverpool have always been linked with a move for the player and there are suggestions that even Bayern Munich are interested in signing him in the transfer window.

However the midfielder is remaining in Italy after AC Milan confirmed on social media that they had negotiated a deal to take the Ivorian to the San Siro.

AC Milan announce that they have acquired, from Atalanta, the sporting rights of Franck Kessie, who has signed a contract until June 30, 2019″, read a statement on the Rossoneri’s official website.

Kessie is the second signing Milan have made this week, following the completion of defender Mateo Musacchio’s move on Tuesday.

Goal reported earlier in May that the 20-year-old had agreed a five-year contract worth €2.5 million-per-year at San Siro, and would subsequently become the club’s first signing under the new Chinese ownership.

The Italian side are also reportedly interested in adding Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer.
