Apple iPhone 8 running iOS 11 renders leaked online
More significantly the iPhone 8 will have a completely new design compared to its predecessors. Notably, iOS 11 is due for its public release later this year.According to a series of images released by iDropNews, the alleged iPhone 8 is seen running iOS11, which comes with the new control center, revamped Apple Music design, and new notifications style among other. The renders show the 10th anniversary iPhone with a almost bezel-less display. Some reports also suggest that the front facing camera would be placed underneath the display which can’t be seen on the phone.
At WWDC 2017, Apple announced a new ARKit for developers to create new augmented reality (AR) experiences for iPhone and iPad, using built-in camera, processors and motion sensors in iOS devices.
Pre-iOS 11, if users wanted to ensure Uber was not tracking their location, they would have to manually switch to “Never” after closing the app. Another option is to black out or white out the portions of the display separated by the cutout and use that space for battery, signal strength, time and other icons.
The iPhone 8 may get a 3D dual snapper system up front which will work in partnership with a laser and infrared sensor to allow for iris and facial recognition.
Apart from these software features, the renders also show the iPhone 8 from all angles. Days later, a Foxconn insider said in a Reddit thread that the render was an nearly accurate depiction of the actual device.
Apple iPhone 8 will have vertical dual rear camera setup, unlike iPhone 7 Plus which had the setup horizontally. The LED flash is placed between the two camera lenses.
The publication also notes that the iPhone 8 will come embedded with a large pad along with glass back panel that will facilitate wireless charging. It’s probably going to hide Touch ID underneath the display, though the same can’t be said for the aforementioned selfie shooter and sensors. Some reports have claimed that Apple would relocate the Touch ID to the rear panel.
Apple iPhone 8 is expected to sport an edge-to-edge display with a 5.1-inch screen. It’s not known how Apple plans to circumvent this issue.
