Kathy Griffin cries, says Trump “broke me”
Under-fire comedian Kathy Griffin has said she is not afraid of Donald Trump and will keep making fun of him – but repeated she was sorry for a video that depicted her holding a likeness of the U.S. president’s severed, bloody head.
However, Bloom confirmed reports that Griffin had been contacted by the U.S. Secret Service, and that the comedian has hired a criminal lawyer.
During the press conference, Griffin admitted her career might be over, but she vowed, “I am going to make fun of him more now”.
“The president and his grown children and the first lady are personally trying to ruin my life forever”, she said.
Earlier this week, CNN said Griffin would no longer co-host its live New Year’s Eve special from Times Square, a gig she had had for more than a decade, and another show was cancelled at a New Mexico casino.
Malkin pointed out that Griffin told a Vulture reporter in December 2016 that she would be “happy to deliver a beat down” to both Donald and Barron Trump. “I’m under a Secret Service investigation, and I get what I am”. “I made a disgusting mistake and made a frightful call”.
Griffin said it’s clear to her that the president and his family are trying to use her as a distraction.
Kathy Griffin has learned how it feels to be the victim of bullying after others have felt bullied by her in the past and now Demi Lovato is speaking out to slam the comedian.
“The president of all people is going to come after me?”
Donald Trump said Griffin’s actions had impacted on his family. “His misogyny knows no bounds”, Bloom said, calling him “the most woman-hating and tyrannical president in US history”. “And I was like, ‘No, this isn’t right'”. “The death threats I am getting are constant and they are detailed and they are serious and they are specific”.
“It was a parody of Trump’s own sexist remarks taken to an extreme, absurdist visual”, said Griffin, who first apologized within hours of the images being posted online. I am sorry. I went too far.
Following the photos release, Griffin says she has lost a number of comedy jobs.
