8 injured after man drives into LA motel swimming pool
Eight people were injured, including children, after an SUV crashed into a Los Angeles motel pool Sunday night.
The incident took place at the Vagabond Inn in the 200 block of South Gaffey Street just before 7:25 p.m., officials said.
Eight people were injured after USA in the vehicle busted through the fence of the Motel and drove at the on-site pool.
The critically-injured person was out of the vehicle when paramedics arrived but was believed to have been the driver.
Witnesses at the scene said there were many children in the pool when the SUV slammed into a wall and then plunged into the water.
It’s unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. “I ran over there and people were trying to lift the car.I took this guy out of the car, you know, try to unbuckle him.he was choking.and someone did CPR”, he said. They were not seriously hurt and transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. They are investigating whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. “All others were in the pool area and are now being evaluated at the scene for apparent minor injury“.
